information regarding coupons for magento 2

does anybody know of a way to create coupons for magento 2 that is not automatically applied to the cart checkout? i want to create custom promo codes that only will be given to people in random areas or private that is not available to just anyone who comes to my website? every coupon i have made gets sent to the cart by default and its annoying. i played with the cart rules and catalog rules but i havent found a way to get it done correctly

when it have coupon code,it is not automatically applied.Of course, you can also use some third-party plug-ins, such as coupon link

you can try to create a NEW GROUP for "people in random areas or private that is not available"
Filter clients by "location address"
Move to the group you have created.
Generate coupons only for that Group.

The easiest solution would be to use a coupon generating extension and customer segmentation so that it generates coupons for the specific groups you want.
